Translator's website:
Dutch translator Ria Vanderauwera
wanted a minimalist Web presence for her translation practice to give viewers a description of services offered by means of both online
and downloadable résumés.
Logo
design: A startup crafts-oriented business, Artisan
Glassware, needed a logo for a one-page Web presence that will
eventually be expanded to showcase its products.
Musician's
website: Austin
musician Whitey Ray Huitt's
website showcases the master storyteller and performer's decades-long
career from the 1960s to the present time.
Hall
of Fame website: The Translator
Interpreter Hall of Fame exists only virtually, in this website,
which contains pages honoring accomplished practitioners of the
translation and interpretation professions.
Recording
studio website:
In the "Live Music Capitol of the World" (Austin, Texas) Figment
Studios needed a site that reflects the studio's artist-friendly attitude,
creating an atmosphere that lets artists focus on their music.
Website
makeover:
The
original Summit
House Bed & Breakfast website had several problems. The
text was not very legible against the orange background, and there was
too much of it. A new logo, new background, and new pages were created to
describe the setting and accommodations in a less cluttered
context.
Logo
design: A start-up online retailer needed a logo that was
distinctive and memorable, especially since the site's domain name would
have unconventional spelling. Contrasting type styles and colors for the
three elements of the logo provide these qualities.
Motivational
website: Speaker and author Jack
Mayberry commissioned this website to
offer information about his
process for achieving satisfaction and success in work, relationships, and other
aspects of
life.
Private
website: This family site presents documented and oral
history, family trees, and current news of family members' achievements,
milestones, announcements, and reunion plans. The URL is available only
to family members, thus maintaining a degree of privacy.
